Crossmember bushings

Took my bird into the shop to get a clutch installed, And they're holding it there over the whole bloody weekend. Turns out that the Crossmember to frame mounts/bushings whatever they are, they're shot.

They're saying they can't find any new ones, and they're calling junkyards all over the state to find any that have a 2.3 bird with good mounts.

My thought is, couldn't they just call to get any 2.3 fox with a t-5? Instead of looking for the rare good condition TC, they could try to grab one of the myriad of 4 banger mustangs?

Basically, will any 2.3 T-5 fox have identical crossmember to frame mounts/bushings? And could I even just find them at NAPA?

Any fox bushings will work. There are aftermarket poly and solid aluminum ones as well. I prefer the solid ones along with a poly trans mount.

Righto, so I can tell the garage to ask for a 2.3 mustang bushing set from the junkyard?

I'm dealing with "by the book" people here... Who are dealing with more "by the book" people at the JY.

So I need to be able to give them specifics.

Get the Energy Suspension bushings, from Summit or many other retailers.

ENS 4.1102G Trans. crossmember to frame bushings

Less than $15.00.

I used a mustang 5.0 ES set for my 83 cross member, slid right in no problem. Also used a 5.0 poly trans mount, bolted right up no problem. Got the set from Jeg.s. PM if you want the part numbers.
83 dead bird, in pieces however I'm reading from the book of the dead, should be running soon.
