'87 TC. Oil leak near the front crankshaft seal or oil pan. Can someone tell me what the source of the leak usually is. What's the fix. What's it take to get the oil pan off if it part of the solution. Thanks, Russ

Unfortunately the front portion of the motor unbolts. The front bolts of the oil pan go into this piece as does the snout of the crankshaft. So your leak could be at the oil pan, the front seal, or the gasket in-between the front piece and the block. You will have to pull the crank pulley, timing belt, crank timing pulley, and oil pan just to get to this piece. Good luck!
