I picked this hood up last week for $150 off someone from a local street racing site. It was advertised as a 2.5" but I think its at least 2.75-3". Its real light, made of fiberglass and has holes for pins but it also uses the stock latch as well. I put it on today and think it looks pretty good but am looking for opinions(pos. or neg). It doesnt require any real modification, it fit fairly well for a fiberglass. I plan on painting it red to match the car and maybe paint the raised part of the hood black. let me know what you think.

I think that looks super sweet with the square lines of the old style bird, and the ground effects set it off nicely too. Well done.

Look good. Looks like it fits to. All the lines are even. How is the underside. Did you buy it used. What brand is it because I have not seen one like that before.

Fastertbird- It appears as though the one I got is the same as the one that Jeff posted a link too and the one on his car but I cant say 100% that it is or not. I did buy it used and the kid who I bought it from only bought the tbird because he wanted the motor, trans, rear from it and he parted what was left. It had a roll cage in it too and if it was a TC I would of snatched the whole car but it was wired for an 8 and the body wasnt that great either so I offered $150 for the hood and drove 2.5 hours to get it.

Jeff- thats a nice looking TC you got there! I thought about doing the all black look but I dont have the money too get it done right so Im gonna stick with red and have it look like this http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/boosted...m=49ac.jpg except with welds. Do you have anymore pics of your car other than the showroom and did those mods listed get you into the 12's or have you done more to it.

Hopefully Ill have the paint work done by Carlisle and if Im real lucky Ill get the interior back together too. But regardless as long as its running OK, Ill be taking a ride out there this year.
