During disassembly I found a wire tucked behind the passenger strut tower. It's a single orange/black wire, I have the wire from where it plugs into the harness but dont know where it goes..
My pinout says its pin 21 Idle speed control, however the car purred when I bought it.. no idle issues at all, so I'm confused.

Could be the wire for the overboost buzzer pressure switch. I think the connector is very light gray if I remember correctly. The press switches often get water in then and fail, causing them to go off well under the 17.5 psi design pressure. Also many of us runn over 17 psi. Fairly common practice to just disconnect the switch for either of the above reasons.

There is a adjustment screw on the bottom of the switch. Just tighten it up to raise the psi at which it actuates.
