well it looks like you already got a gasket, but here is some info for others, definetely go with "rubber", but when it comes to any FORD valve cover or oil pan, go back to FORD and ask for a "Perma-Dry" gasket, they are specially made by Fel-Pro for FoMoCo to finally "SOLVE" these two problem areas, anyone who has a FORD for any length of time probably had a leak at one of these places, the Perma-Dry gasket is a "rubber" material with a tiny brass strip impregnated in the center of the material. they work great and are definatley the only way to go!!
