I went out, took some pics of my car, and on the way home, i smelled plastic burning, then it got really strong, so i pulled over, popped my hood, and smoke gushed out, turns out that my fan motor was shot, causing the connector to catch fire
i got home, let it cool off, pulled out the spare fan assembly, pulled the fan assembly out of the car, to find that the fan blade melted around the shaft, the fan drooped and is now against the fan shroud, so i know thats not happy
but to the opinions part, since the auxiler fan on my damaged unit is good, would it be worth anything putting the auxilery fan in place of the primary on the good fan assembly? i saw the aux fan had a much more aggressive set of blades on it
if its a good idea, how would i go about actually swapping, i didnt look too hard yet, but i figure ill get some good tips before i hack something up
