The manual stated that the old bolts should be discarded... I assume reusing them are not advisable?

Thanks... I may get some new ones, about $20 at the dealer for a set of 4. They will need to be ordered though and take a few days. The old ones looked pretty good, only one had a little rust on the shoulder. Won't be putting it back together until next weekend, so I have the time. It's good to know that they can be reused though.

Many times Ford say to replace bolts because the bolts or nuts that come with them have a thread locking compound on them. If the original bolts are OK use Permatex blue on the threads when putting them back in.

Well don't send your wife to the dealer to order parts!!! Seems the price qouted was for each, rather than call me she just ordered them (non-refundable) $78... Live and learn!!!
