Compression Test Question

Hey everyone, I'm going to do a compression test on my 88. I have no reason to believe that anything is wrong but I haven't done it yet so I'm curious to know the health of the motor. My question is, what is the best way to stop the fuel? There is no fuel pump "fuse". Should I just disconnect the fuel pump inertia switch? Thanks!

Just keep the key off and use a wire with a momentary switch in it from the batt positive terminal to the small push on terminal on the starter solenoid on the driver side fender. Any switch and even 18 AWG wire will work fine as this circuit only draws a few Amps.

My battery has been relocated to the trunk. Could I just jump the battery terminal on the starter solenoid to the starter terminal with the wire and switch?

If you floor the pedal while you're cranking, it's supposed to go into flood clear mode and prevent the injectors from firing. To be absolutely safe, you can just unplug the injector harness by the fuel rail.
