Just to clarify; ive been reading for days about suspension upgrades but it is still not all clear to me. This is where i ask for help.

This car is going to be a DD so it cant be horribly harsh.

Here is what i know im going to get so far:

From Maximum Motorsports: (Front Suspension)
Coil over kit COP-1 or COP-2
Cast34/Camber Plates MMCC7989
Front Control arms MMFCA-1

any suggestions on struts?
What am i missing?

From CHE PerformanceSadRear Suspension)
Upper Control arms
Lower control arms
both will be non adjustable

What about rear springs?

sorry for all the questions but im confused after hours of reading. feel free to fill me in with any information that i may be lacking. Such as whats so great about coil over and if i need it

and keep in mind ALL suspension components are original.

thanks alot

Your front arms can be rebuilt with ball joints and new bushing pressed in , i went with poly . Struts you can go aftermarket with Koni , some have adjustment but will cost more . Its an easy job to drop the whole thing and replace every thing, That is the way to go , do the job just 1 time , also while its all out , replace the PS rack bushing too . And the inner and outer tie rods . Dont forget the front sway bar bushing . Springs , pends if you want to lower the car or not . Do the entire front of the car then save up again and do the rear next . Just my 10 cents worth . good luck on the job , its easy . D.Wilder

Greg, take a look at this post:

if you haven't already.

MM has CC plate specific to our TC's and they're what I used.

thanks Joe, i was referring to your post for what i wanted to do earlier. the only problem is i dont want to use new springs (the COP-1 kit should have them)

i also couldnt find the shocks or tie rod boots that you used, they werent there under the product code you listed. if you could possible pm with how your build went for you i would really appreciate. and also, why did you buy springs on top of the COP-1 kit?

thanks

The build went smoothly, with no unpleasant surprises. Everything worked first time with just a little head scratching since I hadn't done any suspension work before.

The shocks may have been renumbered since then, this was from mid 2005. That's about the only thing I can think of - maybe talk to MM directly about them, same for the boots. Also I didn't buy extra springs, just listed the PN for the ones I choose to accompany the COP-1 kit since there's a choice there.

I did the same build as Joe did after he did his. The only difference is that I have Koni red all around and they are the ones that were made for the TC and are not availiable anymore. So I did the coil over kit for them. Like Joe the results were amazing. I loved it. You do want to talk to Jason since when I called to order everything the guy I talked to didn't know anything about our cars so I asked for Jason but he was out for the day. I called back the next day and talked with Jason and the order went very smooth. I told him that I was with Nato and he gave me an extra 3% off the order even though he had already given me 10% off.
