OK, I have the cone on the VAM and I used soem aluminum dryer duct stuff to route air to the cone. I wanna go to PVC so its stronger, and I put the front behind one of the three slots below where the front license plate goes? Or is this too important for cooling, cuz there isnt much open in the front. I wanna try it, but I just wanna know how much this would affect my temp. THanks

You don't need to mount it low down. Anywhere in front of the radiator is good. Too far down and it may pick up too much water in a rain.

I might relocate to the radiator anyway. Does this work better than a ram air with it in the engine bay?

The point of getting the air source outside of the engine bay is to get cooler air, not ram air.

Mine is set up like ram air. I have a pipe in the VAM and that goes to a Coffey can that has a cone filter on it and then hommade adapters to a dryer duct that is 5x2 coverd with a nylon to keep crap out. works great.
