Thanks Pete, that is what I needed to see, so what do I tell him on how to fix this, not sure what outside recirculation current is , and how to tell him to do the repair . Any idea ??

Spring is here .........So they say...... and I can hear the horn honking from 1 of the cars wanting to come out and play . D.Wilder

The recirculating door is what controls whether fresh, outside air is put through the system or if cabin air is recirculated (like for MAX A/C) The EATC control doors are controlled by electric motors or solenoids (as opposed to vacuum motors for the manual system.

What kind of problem is your friend having?

Check your email. I sent you some scans.

The recirc motor is probably drawing too much current. Either the motor itself is bad (possible shorted windings or dry / bad bushings causing high friction) or the recirc door mechanism is jammed / sticky / high friction causing the motor to pull too much current trying to operate the door.

I think what Don is telling me is that, with out the A/C or Heat on , if he has the temp set at 60 the A/C is some what on with out turning it on , and same way with the heat , if he sets it at 80 ,, heat will come out of the vent , without turning on the heat . hope this makes sense , this is what he is telling me , and he is in Tenn. So I can not see the car myself as I am in Indiana .

Any one have a photo on where that reserc. door and motor is at ?? Thanks for the reply help ........... D.Wilder
