That's wat I mean If I hit a good bump or dip it will rub on the passenger side fender and if its a bigger dip both will rub. I think it might be lowered some and I would like to make it stock again wat springs can I use to make it alittle higher.

Get some stock, non Turbo springs. My '88 Sport was sitting tall and proud before I installed the SN-95 Mustang springs which brought it down about two inches all around.

Does mustang 5.0 springs make it alittle higher or just 2.3 cars will make it high enough I think mine has lowering springs

I have a 86 XR7 with 9x17 cobra r.

http://www.crystalcomputersupport.com/trav/xr7pic6.JPG

I have 245 upfront and 285 in the back, with the quad shocks removed.

If I turn the wheel all the way to the right or left I will get some rubbing. My suspension is original.

In the back if I have the car really loaded down, the rear tires will rub the fender lips. I replaced the shocks with a good aftermarket set. That seem to help alot.

Thanks,

Travis

well i beleive i have lowering springs but i replaced the front shocks and it will rub on the fender from a decent dip, but gets worse with weight in the car. The back rubs on good dips

Just installed 17x8 front, 17x9 rear with 275/40/17 front and rear. With 1 1/2 coils cut, had to clearance fenders. Used a hammer, vice grips, and a piece of plywood. A baseball bat placed between the tire and fender will do the same thing, but look nicer. Just roll the car back and forth w/ the bat in there (someone keeping the batin place as it rolls) This will get the inside lip to move up.

My car's still in pieces and on jack stands, so we did what we had to do.

There is a tool that a friend of mine has that rolls fenders, which sometimes assists in deleting the rubbing caused by wider tires. The baseball bat works well also, but make sure the paint a metal is warm so that you cause less damage to the vehicle.
Good luck.
