Did you replace the release fork the last time you did the clutch? Do a search and you'll find more.

How do you adjust a hydraulic clutch? I've never heard of any way.

it is the clutch release arm and spring. as it wears around the ball pivot, it starts to move around. lubing the pivot will help for a short time, but will wear away. You can get them from a dealer pretty cheap (arm and pivot around $35). they just went out of production last year, but the parts department if they are good can find one.
Currently birdless, but will get another someday!
