ok here is the problem. When switching grears, its feels ruff going into gear, and sometimes even grids just a little. If i push in the clutch pettle very swiftly and hard, it shifts fine usually. I had installed a firewall clutch adjuster thinking that the peddle wasnt engaging the clutch fully.... but that wasnt the case. also when i press the clutch in, if you listen out side the car, it sounds like a squeeky door henge... Do you all agree its a throw out berring problem?

The TOB may be squeeky but that may not be the shifting problem. You may not be moving the TO bearing far enough to completely disengage the clutch. Something else to try since it is easy and cheap is to change the tranny fluid first. This often cures a shifting problem

There may be a spec, in the Service manual, that tells how far the clutch fork should move when the pedal is pushed in. I'm guessing on this but it may exist and you could then evaluate yours

should travel .58 inch(1/2") at the end of the clutch fork. if you have less, you have a problem of travel, if you have more, you have a worn TO bearing, and it could be working its way into the pressure plate fingers. not sure how new all your components are but, this is a place to start.

If you got a clutch cable that is getting ready to break this quick there is definetly a problem. It is probably way stretched. Is the cable new?
