I Just changed the clutch on my TC as well as the flywheel. Problem is when the car is running I can't get it into gear. When the engine off it is no problem.

Check clutch cable. If not there is a bad synchro in trans. I just did a synchro job on my trans. Synchros cost $200 on a world class unit. I you can do the labor yourself great, but if you cant the cost will be $350-600 with the trans out.

Sorry I should have mentioned it is a 88 TC (hydraulic clutch). The transmision was shifting ok for I replaged the clutch. I had a rear seal leak which I fixed at the same time.

Did the clutch plate go in with the faces in the right directions?
Check the travel if the rod from the hyd slave cyl to clutch fork travel. It should move 0.53 " min.

I checked the rod on the slave cylinder and it is traveling far enough so the problem is inside the bellhousing. I did have the flywheel resurfaced .
