Well, my clutch is slipping and there's a leak somewhere, the reservoir runs dry every 100 miles. What does it take to convert to a mechanical clutch linkage and the 11" clutch disc setup used on the Mustang?

for sure you would need a bell housing, i cant remember the specifics behind it, but the clutch fork actuates different, or its on the other side. i know there is a difference. i ran into this problem when i grabbed a 88tc bellhousing for my 84.
obviously you would need a cable. other then that, i couldnt tell you.

i have cable clutch in mine,
all you need is a 83-86 tbird bellhousing or 79-93 mustang 4cyl bellhousing.
clutch pedal assembly from any 79-93 mustang or 83-86 tbird.
clutch cable 79-04 mustang 4cyl v6, or v8. you can get all the after-market stuff from any mustang supplier, quadrant, cable and firewall adjuster
4cyl clutch fork form 83-86 tbird or 79-93 mustang 4 cyl.
a free weekend to install, i prefer cable overr hydraulic. my 88 is cable and my 87 is hydralic. the cable releases faster and i can control is more precisely.

Sounds like you want to go with the cable, but just to mention for about $100 you can replace the master and slave on the hydraulic system (about $50 each). If you're trying to save money/time.

Not if he really want's to run the bigger V-8 size clutch.

Glad y'all could show me why it's not the best idea for me. I'm going to just drive it as is until the clutch needs replacement (it only slips when I side-step the clutch and get my launch right on a grippy bit of pavement, otherwise it seems fine) and then do the MC and slave when I replace the clutch...

A fox clutch is 10.5
And there are a lot to chose from lol
I don't like the knight mare of highdro clutch but the pedal effort is nice
My spec 3 in my stang has one leg bigger than the other lmfao

We have a cable in the turbo stang.
The thing that's nice about it, you can see whether or not the cables moving. Hydro, not so much...

I think the slave cylinder is external. That shouldnt be too bad to replace.
