My a4ld is finally out and I am waiting for a new quadrant and a few other parts like firewall adjuster.
I would eventually like to hit the 400 hp mark with my stang someday. Knowing that, what brand/type of clutch do you guys suggest. I know everyone is big on the spec stage 3 which I heard is good to 600 hp.
Can someone tell me what the stock TC autozone replacement clutch is good for as far as hp goes? I want to be able to power shift.
Who else makes a good clutch for a decent price?

You are going to have to spend big money to make anywhere close to 400 HP. A cheap clutch is not the place to try and save a couple bucks.

Ok so aside from a Spec Stage 3, what else will do the trick with not too much pedal effort? Ram, CF? Any comments about composition? Kevlar, etc....
As far as making 400 hp, from what I read so far on all the boards, it is really not that hard to do.

I didn't say making 400 was hard, just not cheap.
I got a CF II and there is no extra pedal effort.

i agree, get a centerforce II or a spec stage III (the II sucks!!!). you also might want to look into RAM.

Ditto on centerforce...although I've never run it in the TC, it's great in the stang. Way less pedal effort than the motorsport unit.

I've got the SPEC Star Clutch Stage 2 with the Stage 3 Pressure Plate and its great. S & R Racing sells them & their service is awsome. Great Feel just like the stock one and it will handle up to 400 HP. Check out his site before you buy the centerforce. He's a fellow NATO member so lets give him the business.

Now I need to finish converting to Raven/Gray Leather interior & just do some Body work & she'll be like new.
