Hello, I have an 86 turbo coupe and there is a red wire with a brass metal washer on the end that comes from the climate control plug and I don't no where it goes or what it does. Thanks for any help. James

Is this a manual HVAC car or is it EATC? What climate control plug are you talking about? Electrical plug or vacuum line manifold plug?

A picture of the wire and its location may help us help you.

it is the EATC not the manual. It is the left rear electrical plug, there is a red wire coming out of it with a brass loop on the end like it bolts to sommething, I can't give a picture because i wrapped tape on it and put it back together. i am still wondering what it does.

im pretty sure that wire with the brass eyelet is for making it go from Fahrenheit to Celsius. grounding it will make it read in fahenheit.
