climate control question

I also posted this on turboford but never got a response...so...

Is there a wire that runs to the battery to store the settings in the ECC? Every time i turn my car on it always stays at 75/auto, regardless of what i had it set at before. My old TC would stay at whatever you set it at previously.

I've got the same problem; not always but most of the time (like overnight). Haven't run the codes off the unit though it doesn't seem the AC is actually mis-behaving, though. Does your's seem to work okay, too? Haven't ever seen any other posts on this problem.

Interesting question, my #2 TC does the same, resets to 75 and comes on automatically, whether I had it turned off when the car was shut off or not. My #1 TC remembers the previous setting(s) regardless.

Another climate control question that has not been answered (to the best of my knowledge) is how to change display from C to F.

If someone can find these answers please email them to me so I can add them to the FAQ's Page.

Sometimes it goes to 85/off....but thats rare. I searched both boards and never found anything related to it, I guaruntee theres a wire thats always "hot" connected to the battery so the settings are stored, it's just a matter of finding that wire...and that's pretty much impossible. Oh well...stupid Fords =)
