The lights on my climate control indicators are steadily flahsing. I suppose that it is trying to indicate some kind of fault? The systems till seems to be working fine. Anybody go a clue?

I have that same problem... I was told that it might be a grond that isn't connected and it would make sense being that b4 I took everything back out it used to go to Farenheight when I hit a bump and now it doesn't... so open everything there in the center of your dash... if you have an 87-88... and then look for an out of place ground somewhere

I don't have my owner's manual in here right now.. but I thought that the climate control flashing indicated a problem. I would think a bad ground would not give you a rythmic flash...

Ya, a flashing temp indicator means a fault. You can push a few of the buttons and put the EATC in test mode and the display will output a 2 digit code for the problem. I'll be damned if I can remember what buttons to push, though. Maybe someone else can tell you the exact procedure.

Found following info on this:Blinking of the VFD (temp display) or LEDs on control buttons is an indication that the control head has detected a fault. You can test for the fault by simultaneously pushing the OFF/AUTO and DEFROST button, and then within 2 seconds pushing the AC button. An error code will be displayed on the VFDs. 88 or 09 indicates no fault found. If you get any other number post it here and someone can decode it from the manual (section 36-75-43)You can do this at anytime but ambient temp should be greater then 50 F

Hey, that's pretty cool! Nothing seems to be wrong with my temp. control, but I think I'll try that anyway. Thanks for the cool info! (no pun intended) hehe

I do hate to be a nagging ass about this but the blinky lights just bother me... as I said in my prior post, I did this self test and I got code 01. Could some one please tell me what this fault code is?
