I found a place that says they can put a chip in my 88 turbo coupe and tune it to near 300 hp and have a switch to run like stock and 3 other setting to go up from there. with the final setting for my nitrous kit. Does this sound right for our cars? 18 lbs boost stock IHI,3 inch exaust,225 fuel pump, adjustable fuel regulator, multi spark ignition, cone filter intake,5 speed trans with street/race clutch.373 rear end. chip $269.00 dyno&tune $300.00 switch install for adjustable tune $25.00

First off, has he already done a car like yours to show you proof? Second what system is he hooking you up with? Megasqirt?

It sounds like a great alternative, especially if he is going to set it up and dyno it for you. Post more information.

Its prolly just Moates QuarterHorse because you can get a Rotary QH switch and have 4 preset setting.

Sounds like QH. That 300hp will be crank hp. Thats all 35# injectors can deliver safely. You could eek out a little more but your on the ragged edge and the likelyhood of running lean is high. With nitrous your begging to go boom.
