i got the same gauges in my tc, i bought them from somebody on this board but mine the speedo goes to 100 and the tach goes to 7 and the boost goes to 24, it looks good compared to it stopping at 80. i only paid like 15 bucks for mine, they are really easy to put in if you take your black gauges off first they will be brighter. i wish i could remember who i got them from, i bought gauges and turbo keys from him and im lookin for another set of white faces and keys for my silver tc.. humm

For starters, no one has these. These are actually a "prototype" that I made. They are not my final production because these are not as good of quality as "I want". I will be making some improvements on these. I built these because I liked the way the stock numbers looked. I have seen some white faced gauges for the TC but the numbers didn't look like the the stock ones(I believe that on the other gauges their numbers were blue, I wanted black). These also will not be reverse indiglo(This could change later on if I can ever figure out how to do this)

At this time I have not tested them in car at night due to this week being exam week and I will not have time for at least another week. As soon as winter break starts I will be working on these. Also the gauge cluster that they are in was an old one that I had laying around and it does not work so it may be a while before I have in car pics with a working cluster.

I am sorry but I am a very busy college student. I just quickly made these, slapped them in a cluster, and took a picture to see what they would look like and to get other peoples opinions (good or bad, constructive criticism helps).

In order to get the needles off I just pulled. I will be painting my needles a redish orange.

When I finish with these I will not be selling them. I have taken many pics of the process so far and will post instructions with pics of every step so that anyone can make these. But again I won't be able to get started for a week or two.

Total cost for my gauges: Free!

Any opinions or suggestions are appreciated

Chris

Is that white paint? If you painted the guages white, then scratched out all the little detail with a needle or something, then my hat is off to you. I was a busy college student until about a week ago, finals are over! WooHoo! Now I've got nothing but time on my hands to mess with my cars, so....how the hell did you do that?

sorry but, I didn't paint the gauges and scratch it away(That would take an extremely long time and wouldn't produce the black numbers/letters). The gauges were produces using Photoshop. I scanned my gauges. put them into photoshop inverted the colors (I used seperate layers for the reds, yellows, and blues). Then I just printed them out. When I am finished I will send the JPG files of my gauges to anyone that wants them or doesn't have Photoshop to do this. Other members may want to do this on their own because the printer and scanner that I have is about 5 years old and not the best quality. When you get real close you can see a little pixelation. but from a drivers distance they are acceptable. Again the quality will improve when I have more time. I will try to find a better scanner and play around with some filters in Photoshop until its perfect.

How much did you pay if you dont mind me asking? I'm interested in buying a set and was wondering how much and how hard they were to install. Thanks.

If the entire overlay is made of paper, then it will be hard to see the numbers at night, don't you think? How are you gonna get the light to go through where the numbers are?
