Your intercooler will easily come off if you loosen the 2 clamps at each end of the intercooler. One is at the throttle body and the other is at the turbo. You might have to look for the bottom clamp under the intercooler and get a screwdriver or socket on the clamp bolt to loosten it. You only need to loosen the top one under the intercooler. The bottom one can stay there. Once the 2 clamps are loose, disconnect the vacuum lines at the intercooler and note there positions. Mark them with tape if necessary. You will now lift the intercooler up and out at the same time pulling towards the fender, not the motor. Once you have it out of the way you are home free. You will see all 4 plugs and wires now and the rest is normal procedure. Be careful putting the intercooler back in place. It can be tricky, but patience will prevent a cracked intercooler hose.

You will ned to remove the two support bracket bolts at the fron of the inter cooler (10mm) be sure you note/mark the plug wires so they go back on where they came off. set the plug gap to about 0.033"

You're right Pete. I forgot all about those 2 darn bolts at the front of the intercooler. I was assuming that those were obvious, but, step by step instuctions were called for. I guess that's why you're the administrator.

Nope, it because of my vast hours of pulling the inter cooler experience [Image: biggrin.gif]
