Changing break fluid on ‘87 TC ?

I’ve searched btw and found no such info.
I’m needing to change the break fluid as I think it’s potentially original in the 87 I picked up last year.

Is these anything special about the TEVES ABS system on these 87-88 Birds that would prevent a typical vacuum bleeder to assist in changing the fluid?

Thanks in advance for info.

Yes, there is a difference. Fronts are bled just like any other car.

For the rears, open bleeder, securely attach a hose to the bleeder and run other end into a container, turn key to RUN and wait until the BRAKE and ABS lights of off. Press on the brake pedal lightly, and fluid will shoot out of the bleeder, thru the hose, and into the container. Note the fluid comes out VERY fast, so if the hose isnt secured well to the bleeder, the pressure will blow off the hose and make a HUGE mess. BTDT.

Jeff,
thanks.
Is there a procedure published anywhere ?
So do you only press the pedal once? or pump it lightly until it purges? Do both at once with two hoses and containers a good idea?

Thanks for feedback

Press pedal and hold it down. The brake fluid pump will pump out fluid very quickly. 8 or so seconds of holding the pedal down will move enough fluid to completely flush the lines and caliper.

I have always done one side at a time.
