Paid for a 30 day UNLIMITED carfax and when I went to log in tonight it gave me this message, mind you I don't expire until 1/6.

When I hit the link and asked why was I paused, I got this back in my email:

So, closed until 1/5 and at least 8 hours for a response, so I'm done by the time they get to me. Nice. I bought unlimited because I'm looking for either a Mustang or another TC. I didn't run THAT many.
That's my rant. Have a good night...

I have use carfax for many years will good success. In the same method as you. I often wonder how many I would have to run to the system to yell at me. I never had any type of problem. I would call them if you have time.

Actually, they just responded this morning and reinstated me until the 9th, so I guess it's all good. Just pissed me off that I wanted to check out a car last night and it was no go. I think I ran about 30 or so reports. If I have an unlimited account, the FIRST thing I do is check the mileage. Funny thing is that 99% of the cars have the wrong mileage. I checked out a Mustang with "80k original miles" and it had about 170k on it 6 years ago. Saves a lot of time. My interest ended right there, before the emailing questions and all. Almost all of the cars ended up like that.

I am really surprised that so many cars have messed up mileage nowadays. I would have thought that practice (rolling odometers) slowed way down years ago. I guess I am too trusting. Well, all you need is to find one good car and the subscription was worth it. Good luck!

P.S. Thanks for the CarFax. lol. I hope what you ran for me didn't mess you up!

lol. I actually ran over 50 so I don't think you were the prob. It's unbelievable with the mileage thing. I showed my wife a Mustang add that in 3 different places said 79k original miles. Run the carfax, it had about 90k about 7 years ago, so it's either 179k or God knows what. There is an '88 TC on ebay now with I think 224k on it. Even THAT one had mileage discrepencies. lol. This carfax thing is dangerous. My favorite is "I bought it from the original owner" and the carfax shows it was auctioned 2 or 3 times and the mileage was probably turned back each time. Gotta love modern technology.
