Cardone racks

Has anyone had any experience with Cardone power steering racks? I can pick one up with inner tie rods for $149.99+tax+core from Autovalue. Seems to be the cheapest rack I can find. The cheapest pressure line is $40.00 some-odd dollars and the return lines are just high pressure hose apprently. I'm going to stick with my old outter tie rods (if I can get them off without damage that is).

I decided even though my bank acount is well into the negatives right now, I better fix this rack leak before it causes a more severe problem. I noticed over the weekend the size of the pool has increased from about a 1 1/2" to about 3" in diameter.

I don't have any experience with it, but make sure you get the correct ratio and not a steering rack for a standard Tbird.

I do not have experience with a cardone rack either. Most of their stuff i have got is of good quality though. the price you have of 149 seems a bit high. I got one from NAPA for under 100$. I saw them on rockauto.com for less too even if you do not return the core, although shipping may bump the price up. Basically I'd check around on the price if money is an issue.

Sounds like A1 Cardone's are a decent brand then.

I'll stop by for sure burple. I think crowfoot is probably the closest autovalue to my apartment now anyways. I'm going to get my sway bar bushings/endlinks this weekend as well as a 2 jaw universal puller just to get everything ready. That way I can get some penetrating fluid on everything in there and make sure I know exactly what I'm going to need.

I havnt seen too many TC's for sale. But I was checking buysell.com every week for 2 months and saw atleast 3 go though it back in june/july. Thats how I found mine for $1500, although I now think that was a little high for how many hidden problms this thing has.

Just outta curiousity, what are my odds of not destroying my fluid lines going to my old rack? I'd prefer to reuse them if possible, anyone have any kind of luck doing this in the past?

I'm am going to buy a tie rod end puller from princess auto tomorrow so I can remove my tie end ends without destroying the boots. Anything in particular I should really soak in pentrant while I'm under there this weekend doing bushings? I'm going to order the rack next week and buy a bunch of fluid while I'm there.

BTW I paid $72.17 after tax for Moog Heavy Duty endlink kit(x2) and Moog Sway bar Bushing Kit(x1), 1 5/16", Comes with 2 bushings.
