Fixed my timing belt a few days ago and it has never ran better! Seems to idle smother and it stays at 1000 rpms, spins the tires up to 6000 in first, spins second a bit.
And i fixed my turbo leak i had, it was what i thought it was, the compressor housing must have not been on right.
Sandlewood beige 88 coupe 93k/ super 60 T3 at 24 pounds/ ATR 3" no cat or tail pipe/ 255lph high pressure pump/ Kirban AFPR at 42/ Spec stg3/ GN FMIC/ 1g DSM BOV/ 14* timing/ disconected KS/ Tri-ax short throw/ Autometer boost,vac and air to fuel/ 140 spedo/ Ford motorsports 5300-c springs/ tubular rear upper cntrl arms.

88 TC ....Custom window tint, American Racing 15" rims with Michelin X-radial tires 215-70-r15, 9mm Ford Racing Spark-plug wires, K&N air filter, 3 core radiator, 180* Thermostat, Head completely rebuilt with an upgrade to a roller-cam, Silvannia Silverstar Bulbs for headlights, Painted wiper blades, XM Radio, Custom system with a custom built 5 cu. ft. box(2 and 1/2 cu. ft. per sub.), Custom Alarm System. Just to check - these cars are supposed to idle right around 1000rpm, right? Because that's where mine idles, and I thought it was too high. But maybe not...

I'm pretty sure the factory set the idle at about 900RPM.

I have had my 88 since new and it has always idled at 1000 rpm (at least according to my tach!)
1988 TC 5 spd K & N, Bleeder. Next up - 3" downpipe to 2.5" duals
