Can these seats be "fixed"?

One more thing while I'm at it... these are the leather seats that Michael Pinto sold me along with a whole bunch of other stuff (thanks again Mike!)...

Can these seats be 'repaired' (ie. fix the bad 'panels', restitch, etc?), or are we talking total recovering here? If it's total recovering, I'm thinking what I will do is have these seats recovered in leather, and then swap them in for my existing set, which I will keep to keep the car original.

The only problem I have is, I really do prefer leather and to recover them totally is going to be steep. If there's any way to fix these up enough to be consistent with the general state of my car.. that'd be good enough.

These are just the front seats.. the back are in similar condition.. no tears but some 'ripping' in the vinyl parts along the edges and heavy wear. Here they are:

Thanks for any advice!

From my LIMITED experience with leather, I would say theres no way those could be repaired. Someone on the board (ASIMOV maybe) had a deal with OE seat covers, Id check with him.
