I finally put the BP valve(had the parts for 6 months)on the car. I don't know if it's any faster - but it sure is more "driveable". After I did the clutch(lightened the flywheel at the same time)the car seemed to be more "jerky" when shifting, that has gone away now!

I agree...I put a Bypass Valve on mine a few months ago and have really noticed a difference in the "driveability"....more interesting though is there is less engine noise at all throttle positions.

Yup, every turbo car needs a BPV. THe drivability difference is amazing.

Flyguy... The TA kit uses a Bosch BPV that costs maybe $30 new, or can be found in turbo Volvos, Saabs, etc at the JY almost for free. Just fab up your own system to tap a 1" dia hose into the IC or the TB, and a 1" dia hose into the VAM to turbo hose, and you will be all set for MUCH less $$ than the TA kit.

flyguy.... alot of us use the Ric Gillis Bypass Valve $39.00. Excellant quality, easy to adjust, easy to disassemble and clean, easy to upgrade spring for larger turbos, and best of all Ric is a great guy to deal with, stands behind his products 150%.

yeah, i have that already and it's great. maybe i've been hitting the crack pipe too much today but i'm fairly sure from everything i've been reading that the by-pass valve is different.
