Burn off 3yr old gas or Drain it?

so the Bird runs again after sitting for 3 yrs. Gas is stank and old but does fire up the engine. I have not taken it on the road for a stress test just yet... gotta button up some lose ends 1st.

So should I burn off the 3/4 tank of old gas that has been stabilized a few times, or should I drain it?

Not sure how to dispose of it once drained tho.

However you decide to ultimately dispose of it, definitely drain it first.

If it has had fuel stabilizer added, I would still drain all or most of it, and use the drained gas in lawn equipment, etc.

C116 ??? I looked it up on google and got "Commodore 116" lol.

I assume its some kind of Octane additive? And easily available?

I am thinking of draining most of it. Shut I let the fuel pump do all the work by disconnecting the return fuel line just below the oil filter area, or is there an easier way?

disconnect it just in front of the tank, where it connects to the fuel filter near the rear Pass tire.

15 yrs! wow didn't know gas could last that long.

I think I may dump about 5 gal. to get the tank half empty then top it off with some fresh Hi Octane.

I have a new fuel filter which I will replace once this tank runs empty.

Thanks guys!

C116 is basically aviation fuel.
