Just brought it home tonight. 88 TC automatic, with all options and just over 100k. It needs front brakes and exhaust (which I have) to pass VA state inspection and she will be good to go. Runs great! Poor quality pictures from phone and it was getting dark. http://natomessageboard.com/uploads/0000...TBIRD2.jpg http://natomessageboard.com/uploads/0000...TBIIRD.jpg http://natomessageboard.com/uploads/0000...8TBIRD.jpg

Great looking find on that car!!

Some of the pics weren't showing up for me. These links below should work. The file names had spaces in them which will not work with the message board software.

From what I can see in the photos, the leather interior looks in good shape, body straight, good buy.

Posting photos on this board makes me crazy! Smile Thanks Pete! There is some minor rust along the bottom of the drivers door and the bottom of the right front fender, but the body is nice and straight and everything works. I have the panels to replace the rust if need be. The only flaw in the interior is two small vinyl places on the drivers seat bottom. Even the floor mats look new. I paid $1350 for it, put front brakes and exhaust on it (I already had the parts) and she was good to go. I am just now learning about these cars and their engines and am looking forward to tinkering with it.
Question? Would changing the boost controller from a 5 speed car let it make additional boost? Looks like it only makes about 10 psi max on the automatic.

You don't want to push that (weak) auto tranny too hard. The pcm (not the bcs) does the boost limiting (I think). Plus I believe the hole in the fitting on the IC for the hose that goes to the bcs has a different size hole than the 5-speed. Just get a manual boost controller. I have a bleeder-style boost controller that you can have if you want to come get it.

Yeah - that's why I just upload them to Photo Bucket and copy the links. Plus it saves room on the server.
