broken thrust washer

i have a stock garrett t/3 in my '85.i pulled the compressor wheel off and found that my thrust washer was broken in half.i have not had a chance to run the car much before i took it down so i cant analyze a cause.has anyone had this problem.the shaft play is minimal and the wheels never rubbed the housing. thanks lou

There are kits on eBay with just the washers and stuff if you wanna try your luck with that.. I'm no expert so I can't really tell ya what happened [Image: frown.gif]
