okay, i lost brakes recently all lights lit up on 88 tc. pulled dual relay box down, tapped relays, then pump kicked on again. replaced relays/both(not sure which one powers brake pump), put relays back in firewall mounted box and brakes stopped working and lights lit up on dash again. if i take the firewall plastic box down that holds the relays and let the relays hang loose the darn brakes always work and give no problem. but if i put them back in the box and mount it , i loose brake accumulater pump power and then brakes. any suggestions????

Perhaps you should check the connections again? It sounds to me like they are getting knocked loose, but what do I know? hehe, I've never dealt with brake crap, but first guess is its loose again.

Hope this helps,
Ryan

Almost assuredly a connection problem - make sure to check the harness connection at the relay very well.

The wires to the relay sockets tend to get hot and melt off their insulation, causing all kinds of problems. Could also be a bad crimp connection where the wires crimp to the metal pins in the relay sockets.

thanks all for your input, i`ll thoroughly inspect those connections and post what i find. but hey, if all else fails, i could leave the relays dangling under the hood and have brakes. thanks
