brake rotor and pads problems

I ordered/bought the parts to replace the brake pads and rotors all the way around on my 88 Turbo Coupe and the parts for the front were all wrong.

I ordered the Summit Extreme Performance Cross-Drilled and Slotted Brake Rotors part # SUM-DSEP-5432L and SUM-DSEP-5432R. Had checked a few times to make sure they were suppose to fit my car specifically. First indication they weren't right was the inner bearing didn't fit. We got a V8 Thunderbird bearing and it fit. When we put the rotor on the car there wasn't enough of the spindle(I think he called it) sticking out. So we decided to put the old rotor back on and the new pads.

I had bought the new brake pads at AutoZone part # MKD310. They were completely wrong. Later my friends were trying to match them to any other brake pads in the store..we got pads for a 5.0 mustang..they looked exactly like the ones that came off of my car. Hoping they work.

Think it is weird that nothing that was called for fit the front of my car. Has anyone else had problems with brake parts not fitting their Turbo Coupe?

Did they send you the right parts? The pictures show 5 lug rotors. It has been a long time, but I had no problem locating the correct parts. I usually use NAPA. The local store knows cars pretty well. If they can't get it (awfully rare) they'll help search until something is found.

They sent the right parts and the picture is just a representation not the actual part.

If I'm not mistaken, the front spindles, rotors, and calipers are the same as a 5.0 Mustang with the exception of the ABS ring.
I found cross drilled rotors specifically for the TC with the ABS rings on ebay last year. I ordered ceramic brake pads off the web as well. I am very happy with them.
I would just hunt around ebay and I bet you will find what you need.

Now that's what we call GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you ordered from Summit racing they would give you bonus dollars for later purchases, but never a discount. Frequent shoppers get their discounts.
