brake fluid reservoir line.

Just wondering if anyone here knows the correct size line that feeds the master cylinder from the reservoir. I purchased my 87 TC from a friend who had replaced the line when it deteriorated, the line he put on must be thicker sidewall than the original because you cant get a clamp around the hose and between the body of the master cylinder, and it is starting to leak constantly. Cked with Ford and they said they could try and order a low pressure line kit but wasnt sure they could get it and the price was over 30.00. Hate to spend $30 for a six inch hose.
Thanks
