brake booster swap

after searching the archives I've seen a lot of generalities on swapping out the hydra-boost setup for standard vacuum assist but no specifics.

it would seem the 84-86 SVO swap would work because of its 4 wheel disc brakes and smaller (7.25" vs. 9.5")vacuum booster but I'd like to hear from anyone who's actually done it before I tear in and make a nightmare for myself.

i've also seen talk of using later (circa '93) master/booster setup but i've not got info on booster size/bolt pattern on that.

i've spent a lot on getting my '88 TC to GO but now I'd like to get it to STOP without the moosh pedal (despite countless bleeding sessions)of the hydra boost setup.

any info would be greatly appreciated!
thanks.

I was just this morning the recipient of an article on converting to vacuum brakes. We will be putting it up but it might take a few days. If you want it sooner, email me since your emails are not public.

I used the 93 Cobra MC and booster but I think you can use a smaller booster that would fit in easier. Given that, all I had to do was cut some off of the inside bolts so that it would fit up. Also there are a few of those nuts that will give you enough fits that it'll justify you going out and buying a sit of hinged gear wrenches. Laying on the floorboard trying to get them off and on is a bugger.
87 TC MM k-member package, EVM 3link/watts, Ess. d-port, 2277 solid cam, T3/04E 63 stg3/60, Spec III clutch, alum. flywheel, Stinger header-3" exhaust-FMIC-SDS-gillis valve, Cobra 17" polished wheels, moon roof, 5spd, K&N cone, 110 alt., 93 cobra MC/Booster, Steeda shifter.
