I'd like to point out that I have since reversed the direction of my BPV. I am now using the side port as the input end and the bottom port as the output end. After visually inspecting the insides of the BPV, I decided that using it in that direction would enable the valve to hold the most boost without leaking.
Estoril blue 1987 TC 5spd, 148k mi, a237, Bailey BOV, spec stg3 clutch, spearco FMIC, 50 trim t3/t4, 3" exhaust, Bamafuel, LM1, 55pph
Best 1/4 mile: 12.31 @ 110mph on 25psi

I have mine hooked up "reversed" from your pic (the way you have yours hooked up now... side in / end out), and it holds 21 psi no problem.

Not a good close up pic, but my install looks almost the same as Steves... I just tapped into the IC tank several inches farther back (toward the firewall) than Steve did. My install was a bit tighter than Steves, as I still have functioning A/C.
