has anyone ever made a box or something to keep the hot air from going into the intake

I have seen a few, especially on Merkurs. It seems like the hard solution for TCs since it is so easy to get cold air one way or another.

I agree I think it would be very clean looking to have anair filter box on the right side with a direct feedfrom under the front bumper cover.
