Is there a minimum PSI I need to have to install a BOV?

not really. You should get 9.5 psi by default as that is what the WGA is set for.

Would it hurt or help to install one? I have future plans for a t3 on it and a FMIC and better auto tranny or t5 and all the normal bolt ons and have a good deal lined up on one.

Since youll be venting metered air, you will go rich during shifts, or rather, any time the bov opens. I think it really helps acceleration a bit though since it keeps the turbo spooled between shifts, it seemed like much smoother acceleration, almost automatic like.

Does it matter if the car is automatic?
