Found locally (thanks Bob and Carol!) a beautiful condition 87TC. Has almost all options (sans leather, she's happy) new struts and shocks (PRC!) newly redone front end, lots of good stuff. Needless to say, Katie's psyched!
Pictures to follow tomorrow.

Did you buy her a auto or stick?
That's great Joe, she is probably smiling from ear to ear.
Maybe ghost flames in the future? [Image: biggrin.gif]

I thought there was a glow in the Western sky tonight, it must have been the smile [Image: biggrin.gif] on Katie's face.
Way to go Dad and congrats to Katie!

Little more detail: It's an auto, will be converted to a stick, just not soon (that's what she wants eventually). We think it'll be a little easier for her to learn to drive in an auto, then learn the stick. The previous owners (ONE! since new) really took care of this TC.
It's got 167,000 miles, but I believe it's in better shape than JR was when I started improving and customizing two years ago. No dash cracks, interior is real clean, no rips or tears. Moonroof, antenna, windows all work fine as does the premium sound.
Runs great, smooth ride, good handling. All-in-all a very fortunate find; we're real happy. I've been keeping my eyes ope for almost a year now and this is the reward!
Katie got a real kick out of the replies and says "Thanks, guys!"
Flames? Don't think so, she's mumbling something about "ghost roses" whatever that is [Image: biggrin.gif]

Sure, everything works on Katie's bird. Whenever I had any kind of problen I used this site. Thanks to all of you for your help over the years. Selling our coupe was not easy. Like loosing a member of the family. Seeing Katie so happy made it a lot easier. Thanks again everyone. And Katie, good luck with Ladybird.

Jeff, Katie agrees 110%
Glenn, not until after Katie's Senior year, she doesn't want to miss any more school even though she enjoyed it tremendously last year (I think it's so the customization can get well along [Image: biggrin.gif] ).
A few pictures at http://kaf.rustecat.com/ladybird/
No thumbnails, fairly good sized pictures so dialup users beware. Enjoy, and Katie and Ladybird appreciate the support.
