got the waste gate fixed and set my gillis valve. Well it spikes up to 20 then holds at like 15!! WTF!!! The main hose is tapped into the tree and the gillis is pretty close to the turbo as per instructions. I hear of you guys getting like a 1psi spike then it holds but 5 psi is rediculous!! Would it be better to use the nipple directly on the outlet of the turbo?? would this be better or should I just clean the valve and keep using the vac tree?

Let me ask, is this the one with the bent rod to the WG. If so, my guess would be that you don't have it correct and the WG is too slow opening

the rod is perfectly straight now and I adjusted it so I only have to pull the rod out an 1/8 of an inch to get it on the wastegate itself and it moves without binding. I think it is the ball sticking or something. Or where I have it t-d into. (It is t-d into the large vac line that goes from the vac tree over to the egr stuff on the passanger side. Im going to check for vac leaks and maybe Ill try to hook up the controller right off the nipple on the compressor outlet. Any more thoughts??

I am with Pete....sounds like a waste gate problem, not a Gillis/vacuum line/placement issue.

The rod should extend to 1/2 the diameter of the hle it goes into. Since the rod is only about 1/8, you may have it set up where it has to move too far to be opening the WG on time.
Try this. Put 9.5 to 10 psi pressure to the WGA. The rod should move just a few thousands of an inch. If it doesn't move at all, it isn't set correctly.
