Boost Problem

Lately my boost has been going to about 10 psi and then building much slower than normal above 10 psi. I can still get to 19-20 psi but it's way up in the rpm range. I have a gillis installed. I'm wondering if it could be related to the cheap Bosch BPV I have on it. What happens when these fail?

last week i had a similar problem with my BPV. it got stuck open! The piston got stuck halfway open and wouldn't allow more then 5psi unless i had it floored then it would slowly build alittle more boost. I could hear the turbo spooling but i guess trying to compress the air between the VAM and TB isn't a easy task. [Image: smile.gif]

i disliked the bosch i had so i bought a TurboXs one. The TurboXs one seem to work alot better then the bosch and is adjustable(washers).

I know I have been living on borrowed time with the Bosch valve. I just want to see what experience others have had when it failed.

I bosch i had never broke, but i didn't give it much time to either. One thing i noticed with the bosch i had is didn't always open. The valve seemed to work differently everytime.

When my Bosch took a dump, it starting making a farting sound under high boost. Switched to a Forge valve, which fit perfectly in place of the Bosch one.
