OK. Then, I would say you are running out of fuel. Meaning, plugged fuel filter, defective fuel pressure regulator, bad fuel pump. My 88 TC did exactly what you describe. It would run fine under light throttle. If I opened it up, if would fall flat on its face until I let off completely. If I eased into boost it would keep up sometimes. It still had the original pump on it at 225,000 miles. I put in another pump, problem 100% fixed. The pump just plain couldn't keep up with the fuel flow required under boost. I have had several 2.3 Turbo Volvos behave in the exact same manner for the same reason.

You can run the fuel system diagnostics to check that system:

No, its just a cap like on a bicycle tube(kinda)basically to cover the schrader valve to keep trash out.

Another thing is that randomly my fuel door button doesnt work. could the fuel pump be not getting a proper connection?
and are the Grounds or powers for either running together?

Fuel pump and fuel door release have absolutely nothing in common. Fuel door intermittent is likely the switch in the glove box. Very cheaply made. I have to take mine out and clean it up / refurbish it every 6 years or so to keep it working reliably. Its VERY easy to take apart.
