So i was boosting around and i boosted first gear to 10 psi then when i out it in second and started boosting nothing happened! it pumps it gets all the way up to the intake but when i boost it makes less power could barley make it home but if dont boost at all its fine. the turbo will just boost away but nothing happens.
blown head gasket? i pulled the hose to the wga and it boosts past 10 psi, that sould happen right?

Is there any other notable difference, idle quality, free rev characteristics?

Most likely a boost leak. Remove and thoroughly check the two intercooler hoses completely. Squeeze them and see if any cracks open up. Be sure to get them correctly installed and clamped tightened. Does your car still have the IC bracket on the front. Without the bracket, the IC can pull out of the hoses.

You could be losing fuel pressure. Without boost you have enough fuel, under boost your going lean, engine starving for fuel. I'd check the vacuum line going to the fpr. And then maybe your fuel pressure if everything looks good.

So the vaccum line to the fpr look fine but should i replace the metal tubing in between the fpr and the intake?
How do i go about testing the fuel pressure?

The work looks terrible but it gets the job done! no boost leaks in the intercooler set up

Your boost leak is that blow off valve. Under load its opening. Put in a higher load spring or stretch the spring thats in there. I have always disliked blow off valves. Turbo cars with VAM hate them. I would run a forge bypass valve instead, but if your mind is set on a BOV get the dual piston from Stinger.

You can check what I am saying by removing the blow off valve and plugging the hose. See if the car runs better. If so, its that BOV.
