Boost Leak Testing Procedures

Hey everyone; so I'm getting a pretty loud squeal when the boost starts to go over 8 psi. I believe it to be a leak somewhere in the system. I've checked the obvious connections (i.e. IC piping, couplers, etc.) but I'm going to make a homemade boost leak tester and pressurize the intake piping to about 10 psi to figure out where the leak is coming from. I've heard that you should remove the oil fill cap to help relieve crankcase pressure when doing a boost leak test. Is there any other precautions or things I should look before/during the test? Thanks!

Be sure NOT to get positive pressure into the cruise control system or it may stop working.

Cruise control was deleted by previous owner. Is there anything else I should plug before performing the test?
