Boost Gauge off the Instrument Panel

I have read several articles about installing an aftermarket boost gauge they always indicate tapping into a line in the engine compartment. I recently got a 140 mph instrument panel that I am installing this weekend, I was wondering if I could just "T" off the hose going to the instrument panel boost gauge for the pillar gauge or, would that cause problems?

As always any help is appreciated

You can T off it anywhere. Usually people don't have the gauge pod out when they install an aftermarket BG. If you stock BG is fed by that plastic crap line, I'd recommend you change it for rubber vac line.
