i have a vac boost gauge. i was wondering if it would be smart to splice into the cd deck for the illumination
1988 5speed black every option. 3inch single turbo to tail(stinger), manual boost control. k&n cone walbro fuel pump
1986 xr4ti project car..... way to many mods to list.

you wont be able to change the brightness of the light. i would just splice into the instrument lighting that way it goes off and on too. with the light switch

Instrument/radio illumination is circuit 19, color is LB/R (light blue/red). According to the 87 EVTM, it's the same color at the instrument cluster and center console areas.
Just to be safe check it with a test light before committing to it's use.
