Body Parts?

I would like to replace the fenders and doors on my TC. Will any of the 83-88 fenders fit? I saw a set on an 88Tbird that were perfect and I passed em up cause I was not sure they would fit. Hehe and everything was half off too [Image: frown.gif] . What about doors will the can i use the ones from a 87-88 non-tc? Any and all info would be great.

Phang, I just bought another '88 TC that has a bad auto tranny, 99% sure I'm gonna part it. I need a fender and door for my red TC. But also have a 87 Sport, (not much left) but does have a good door and fender with minor damage. Neither car has any rust.

The doors are all the same for all Tbirds. I've been told that the fenders are the same also but I would check on this. I bought new OEM fenders for mine and paid $135 ea.

I am not positive, but I don't think that the 83-84 doors will fit the 87-88 since they changed the body style. I just got new doors for mine, and have extras if you wanna come get them!

The 83-86 fenders and doors will physically bolt up to any 83-88, but the 83-86 have an extra "crease" in the fenders and doors just above the black bump strip.

Body panels are available aftermarket. My bird has had a poorly executed collision repair on it. The front fenders seem to have a lot of mud in them, and the inner structure wasn't straightened out completely. I ordered a pass front fender with the cornering lamp today for $146.10.

It's weird though... The side support structures are rippled slightly but the core support is perfect. I hope I can pull them a little strighter than whoever else did it as the front clip lines up like sheot right now.
