Has anyone had a manifold from bob warp? Ive been battling an exhaust leak since I installed Bobs log manifold and have finally narrowed it down to the surface that actually mates to the head. Funny, before I installed it, I 'mocked' it up to make sure there would be no interference with the spark plug boots. I did notice there was a little gap at the front of the manifold, but I didnt think much of it. So...Im going to take it to NAPA machine shop and have it planed and might as well check the turbo mounting point too. I dont understand why it would be warped. I bought it from a NATO member and it looked like it wasnt used or maybe it was just cleaned real well. Im going to contact him and see if he knows anything about this.

Is that with or without the bracket? The first time I fired mine up it leaked and I discovered the bracket was a bit too tall for it, and it did not mate with the head. I had to grind the bottom hole of the bracket, where it goes on the stud on the block, to get the right length.

Best thing to do is contact Bob first! He has a great reputation for quality and support for the 2.3 community as a whole. I'd sure talk to Bob first before I took it somewhere else. Give him a chance to make it right or at least give you advise.

Whn I ran it with no bracket(needed transportation-no choice), I had another exhaust leak at the downpipe flange, so I dont know if the manifold was leaking at that time. When I mocked it up and found the gap, I did not have the turbo on it, it was just the bare manifold. Actually, I didnt even have any bolts on it. I didnt run it long enough to find a black soot indicating a leak-I just had it on for a few days. It had a terrible leak from day one and Im now putting the E6 back on until I find out whats wrong with the header. Thanks and Ill contact Bob and see what he has to say.
The good part is; now I can get this all torn down pretty quick(30mins) after the motor cools off)
