Blower motor

I was wondering if anyone else had the problem of the heater/ac blower motor cutting out. Whenever I hit the gas the blower cuts out and as soon as I ease off the gas the blower continues to function properly. I was thinking of changing the resistor on the blower, but I was curious if anyone had the problem before and has a quick fix to it. By the way the vehicle is an 88 TC.

Thanks

Maybe a loose connection somewhere that gets cut off when the wires shift (acceleration)? Just a thought, never heard of this before.

Are you sure it is the blower motor cutting out, or is the air being redirected to the defroster where you cant feel it? My guess is the air is being diverted to the defrost outlets due to a loss of vacuum in the control system due to a inop check valve, cracked vac reservoir, etc. If system looses vac, it is designed to default to defrost.

No defrost at all when the accelaration is going. I think it might be the resistor on the box itself, but I will also have to check the wires along the path. I would like to find the problem actually. Thanks

I thought I had the same problem but it turned out to be a broken vacuum line to the reservior. The broken line caused some very odd behavior from the HVAC system.
